I offer a limited number of sessions at a reduced rate.
I'm an out-of-network provider, which means I don't bill insurance directly for sessions. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that can help offset the cost — see below for more on what that means and how it works.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
I am an out of network provider meaning that you pay me at the time of your session and then have the option of requesting reimbursement from your out of network insurance benefits. To make this easy for you, I can provide you with a monthly statement that has all the information the insurance company needs. All you have to do is send it to them!
And the good news is that many insurance companies have great out of network benefits! To see what your benefits are, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask them what your out of network benefits are for mental health therapy. You may find that your sessions with me are fully or partially reimbursable!

I use a HIPAA-secure platform, which is designed for therapists. Prior to your scheduled appointment, a private link will be sent to your e-mail. At the scheduled time, simply click the link to enter our virtual therapy room.
No matter where you live in Minnesota or Wisconsin, therapy is available to you online. Online therapy gives you access to the support you need, when you need it. Some people prefer the flexibility of online sessions, especially when dealing with child care needs, varying work schedules, or transportation difficulties. Others simply feel more comfortable discussing issues from the familiarity of their home. Whatever the reason, online therapy is still an effective alternative to in-person therapy.

Payment is made by cash, check, credit or HSA/FSA. I'll keep a card securely on file, in compliance with HIPAA, and it will be charged the day of your session.

It's completely normal to feel a little nervous before meeting a new therapist for the first time. Most people find that feeling eases pretty quickly once we're actually talking — I tend to have a knack for helping people feel safe and comfortable.
Before your first appointment, I'll send you a link to our secure client portal to fill out some paperwork.
At the appointment itself, we'll spend a few minutes on any questions you have, then dive into what brought you to therapy and how I can help. I'll also ask some background questions to get a fuller picture of what — past and present — might be contributing to how you're feeling. Most clients leave that first session feeling relieved to have finally said it out loud, with a fresh perspective to sit with.
